Question: Why do you not work on other technicians' work?

Answer: At Luxe Beaute Bar, we strive to ensure the health of your natural nails. We generally do not perform over another technician's work due to the fact that we are not certain of what product may have been used, which may cause further damage to the nails, leaving clients with thin natural nails. In the circumstance where a client may have contracted an infection or fungal bacteria from another technician, we would be held accountable for; being the last technician to have performed a service.​

Question: What forms of payment do you accept?​

Answer: We accept Apple Pay, cash, contactless payment (tap) for debit & credit, or email transfers. (5% GST applicable)​​

Question: What is the difference between acrylic & Gel-X?

Answer: The difference is the components that they are made of. Gel-X is done with a full coverage soft gel tip, adhered with extend gel. It is thinner and lightweight, but still strong. It is flexible and bends unlike acrylic, so it may be more suitable depending on your lifestyle.

Acrylic is done using plastic tips, and adhered with a blend of monomer(liquid) & polymer(powder), which then hardens and forms a bond - in turn, becomes acrylic. It is strong and sturdy but will snap when there is pressure applied to the stress area.

Question: Is acrylic damaging to your natural nails? ​

Answer: No. Acrylic is not damaging to your nails unless the technician is inexperienced and/or using illegal, low-quality products. At Luxe Beaute Bar, we use high-quality products, containing EMA (Ethyl methacrylate) ONLY, containing NO MMA. We only do soak-off removals to ensure the health of your natural nails and do not RIP or POP off your nails; which causes layers of your natural nail to come off, leaving them brittle and thin.​​

Question: What is Gel-X?​

Answer: Gel-X is a full coverage tip, the main difference from acrylic is that it is made out of a soft gel tip,- which is stronger, rather than the typical plastic tip.  Gel extensions are cured with a UV or LED light." Gel can be easily soaked off and is good for people with natural nails who want to improve durability, without extreme hardness and heaviness. There is no commitment required since removal is required before every set.​​

Question: What is MMA (Methyl Methacrylate)?

Answer: MMA(Methyl methacrylate) liquid monomer – is a chemical compound that is mainly used in the dental industry for the production of bridges and crowns.  MMA monomers penetrate both the nail plate and skin, hence when the nail enhancement breaks the natural nail tends to follow. Salons may use it due to the low-cost margins since it is significantly cheaper at only a fourth of the price for the same amount.  At Luxe Beaute Bar we use MMA FREE products to ensure the health of your natural nails.​​​
